He was born in Eceabat Çanakkale in 1977. He started primary school at Bandırma 500 Evler Ali Fahri İşeri Primary School and finished at Balıkesir 6 Eylül Primary School, and middle and high school at Balıkesir Sırrı Yırcalı Anatolian High School. He graduated from Selçuk University Faculty of Dentistry, which he entered in 1996, in 2001.
He completed his doctorate with his thesis titled “Aesthetic Post Systems” at Selçuk University in 2008. He was appointed as an assistant professor in 2011. He received the title of Associate Professor in 2017.
He gave theoretical and practical education in Dental Anatomy and Physiology, Materials Information, History of Dentistry and Prosthetic Dentistry II courses between 2009-2016.
Associate Professor Dr. Mehmet Selim Bilgin, who worked as a Prosthetic Dentistry Specialist at the Private Alsancak Dentapolis Oral and Dental Health Polyclinic between 2017-2019, continues his professional life at the Private Pro Aesthetic Oral and Dental Health Polyclinic and the Dentapolis Oral and Dental Health Polyclinic.
